Meet the friendly staff at Hometown Veterinary Hospital!

  • Dr.
    Sue Williams

    Dr. Williams joined the Hometown family in 2013 and purchased the practice in 2015. She obtained her bachelor’s degree in Wildlife Management from The Ohio State University in 2005 and her Doctor in Veterinary Medicine from The Ohio State University in 2009. Before Dr. Williams was hired by Dr. Amy Keith Renshaw in 2013, she spent 2 years working in central Pennsylvania in a mixed animal practice and 1 year in Ohio practicing emergency medicine. Dr. Williams says, “The staff and clients are wonderful and friendly at Hometown. The staff provides excellent care for the patients. It is a family friendly environment.” She and her husband, Ray, have 2 young sons. The also have 2 dogs, Lucy and Drake who enjoy playing with the family’s cats; Stewie, and Bubba Sprinkles. In her spare time, Dr. Williams enjoys swimming, triathlons and spending time with family.

  • Jamie *

    Jamie, our Practice Manager, plays an important part of all aspects of the practice. Jamie began her career at Hometown in 2009 as a receptionist after graduating from Penn State, the Behrend College with a major in Business Management and a minor in Marketing. She was promoted to Practice Manager in 2011. Jamie and her husband, Nick, are from North East and they continue to reside here with their sons; Collin and Campbell, daughter; Ava, and goldendoodle; Nora. Jamie says, “I love that our staff is like a family. We are a close-knit group and that makes coming to work enjoyable. I also like that I get to work on the business side of things, but still get to interact with our clients and their pets.” On her time away from work, Jamie enjoys spending time with her family, running, and crafting.

  • Jeana *

    Jeana has been here since Hometown’s doors opened in 2008. Jeana says, “Hometown is my home away from home. I love the staff and clients. They are like family to me.” Jeana and her husband, Patrick, enjoy attending comic conventions and collecting super hero memorabilia. Jeana enjoys baking and spending quality time with her children, Miah and Donovan. Her family enjoys the company of Steve, the cat, Hammy their rescued pit bull mix, Howard a beagle/min-pin mix and their 30 year old turtles. Jeana attended Great Lakes Institute of Technology. As well as being a part of the veterinary technician team, she is also a part of our front desk team. 

  • Rachael
    Rachael has been a part of our veterinary technician team since 2008. Prior to coming to Hometown, Rachael received her education at Hocking College in Ohio for Wildlife Management and Great Lakes Institute of Technology. Rachael decided to go into this field because she likes the challenge of helping animals as they can’t tell us what is wrong with them. “There is never a dull moment at Hometown,” says Rachael, “I enjoy the family-like relationships we have with our clients.” She and her husband, Marty, live in North East with their daughters, Avery and Elsie. They have 4 rescue pets, including their beloved doxie, Buddy, who has Intervertebral Disc Disease, which has left him disabled and in a wheelchair. In her spare time, Rachael enjoys kayaking, archery, fishing and taking walks with her family.
  • Roxanne *

    Roxanne is a part of our veterinary technician team. After Roxanne recused her husky, Niko, and spent many hours at the vet hospital with him, she returned to school to become a veterinary assistant. Roxanne received her education at Great Lakes Institute of Technology and has been with us since 2009. Roxanne says, “The staff is awesome and we all work well together. Spending the days helping and caring for the pets is the best part.” She and her husband, Rob, have a daughter, Amanda, and 4 dogs and many, many rescue cats. In her spare time, Roxanne enjoys spoiling her grandchildren, gardening, spending time with her family and raising her chickens.

  • Alexandrea *

    Alexandrea joined our team in 2020. She studied early childhood education at Edinboro University and currently she is studying to be a veterinary technician at Penn Foster.  Alex says, “My favorite part about working at Hometown Vet is the staff is like family and make it a pleasant work experience.” She enjoys fishing, kayaking, hiking and hanging out with her family. Alex and her husband, Corwin, have 5 cats; Abbie, Black Jack, Hercules, Luna and Boots; a lab mix; Williow, a turtle; Squirt, and a Turkey; Gravy!

  • Ashley *

    Ashley is part of our technician team.  She is a Veterinary Technician and graduated from Great Lakes Institute of Technology in 2015.  Ashley says 'what I like best about working at Hometown Vet is that it is such an amazing work family, we all love to help animals and it's such an amazing work environment!'  Ashley and her husband, Matt, have a dearly loved cat named Badger.  When she's not working, she likes to hang out with friends and family.  She also enjoys being outside, and has recently found a love for fitness and working out!
